Would Bacchus Marsh by any other classification still smell as sweet?

That's what the community is asking themselves after the Federal Government redefined Bacchus Marsh as part of metropolitan Melbourne, instead of regional Victoria.

Rod Ward, Mayor of Moorabool Shire Council says the council is now competing with larger metro municipalities for funding.

"It's like we're fighting in the wrong weight division."
